Bald Mountain`s summit tops 9,150 ft. with a consistent 3,400 ft vertical drop and 66 runs for every skill level (36% beginner; 42% intermediate; and 22% expert). With an average of 3,000 skiers per day and a lift capacity of 29,717 skiers per hour... long lines are a thing of the past.
Accessible from the north at Warm Springs Lodge or the south at the River Run Lodge, "Baldy" is 10 minutes or less from Sun Valley, Ketchum/River Run, Elkhorn or Warm Springs.
With its abundance of varied runs, constant-pitch terrains, absence of wind and incredible sunshine, Baldy has often been referred to as the best single ski mountain in the world.

Thought of as the one of the best teaching mountains in the world, Dollar Mountain caters to novices and kids with its treeless and gentle terrain.
With 10 runs, 5 lifts, and a bevy of expert instructors from the Sun Valley Ski and Snowboarding School, Dollar Mountain is perfect for kids, "never-evers" or those that need to brush up on their skills.

Nordic and Snowshoe

Known as the premier Nordic center in Western U.S., the Blaine County Recreation District(BCRD) manages more than 160 km of exquisitely groomed trails for both the skating and classic techniques. A non-profit recreation organization, BCRD supports healthy, active recreation throughout the Wood River Valley area.

The Sun Valley Nordic and Snowshoe Center offers training, clinics, rentals, storage and repairs at the 58,000 sq ft Sun Valley Club. They also groom 40 km of trails daily to ensure perfect conditions.

The 30km Wood River Trail (aka "the bike path") is FREE and groomed every other day for the community.
